Construction of UMass Dartmouth’s Charlton College of Business expansion began in the summer of 2015.

The 21,000 square foot ‘Charlton Business Learning Pavilion’ will contain critically needed space including classrooms,
meeting spaces, an auditorium and technology enhanced areas — all within close proximity to the business faculty offices.

The project is expected to cost a total of $15 million. The major donor was the Charlton Foundation. Many other donations came from local businesses and individuals. Construction — through the collaborative efforts
of Agostini Construction, Compass Project Management, Bruner/Cott architects, UMass Dartmouth’s Capital Projects office and the State of Massachusetts — is scheduled to be finished in fall 2016.

The Learning Pavilion will be an architectural gateway providing a clear accessible entry point to the inner academic campus, promote a sense of community and enhance the overall student experience.
